With 1981 P.F. and 2019 P.S.E. certificates (XF-Superb 95 Jumbo; unpriced in this grade, SMQ $6,250.00 as 95, $17,500.00 as 98). Only two grade higher (one 98 and one 98J) and no others share this grade.

Ex Depew. With 2011 P.S.E. certificate (Gem 100; SMQ $2,000.00). This is the highest grade awarded. SMQ value is far too low in our opinion
3c Violet, Coil (445). Lightly hinged, mathematically perfect centering with beautiful wide margins, rich color, Extremely Fine Gem, with 2016 P.S.E. certificate (OGph, Gem 100; SMQ $1,800.00), the P.S.E. Population Report lists only two single Scott 445's at this perfect grade with none higher, but we have sold a third in the past, one of the others is graded "OGh" -- meaning it is more heavily hinged than this example
1c Green, Coil (448). Mint N.H., Jumbo margins and mathematically precise centering, bright color on post office fresh paper, Extremely Fine Gem, an exceptional example of this coil, with 2000 P.F. and 2008 P.S.E. certificates (Gem 100 Jumbo; unpriced in SMQ above the grade of 100, SMQ $1,000.00 as 100), this is the only unused Scott 448 single to achieve this ultimate grade, there is not even a hinged example that equals it
