3c Rose, A. Grill (79). Unused (no gum), fresh color, typical perf faults, otherwise Very Fine, with 1988 and 2010 P.F. certificates
3c Rose, C. Grill (83). Unused (no gum), strong color and impression, a few nibbed perfs at right (not mentioned on certificate), otherwise a fresh and Fine example of this scarce unused stamp, with 1990 P.F. certificate
3c Rose, C. Grill, Grill Points Down (83 var). Large part original gum, strong and sharp grill points clearly showing the variety, bright colorA FINE EXAMPLE OF THIS RARE VARIETY OF THE EXPERIMENTAL C GRILL.
The C Grill with points down was caused when the sheet was laid down with the gummed side facing the depressions in the grill.

2c Black, D. Grill (84). Unused (no gum), centered to bottom left, perfs clear, wide at top and right, clear impressionFINE. THE 1868 2-CENT D GRILL IS A GREAT RARITY IN UNUSED CONDITION.
Ex "Hampshire." With 2002 P.F. and 2008 P.S.E. certificates (Fine 70; SMQ $5,000.00). The Scott Catalogue states the value for No. 84 is for a stamp in the grade of Fine
3c Rose, D. Grill (85). Unused (no gum), nicely centered, perf added at top left, certificate also mentions a crease which is difficult to detect, Very Fine appearance, with 2003 P.S.E. certificate

2c Black, Z. Grill (85B). Unused (no gum), intense shade and impression, tiny thin speck in the grill, Fine appearance, a very scarce unused stamp, with 2012 P.S.A.G. certificate
3c Rose, Z. Grill (85C). Unused (no gum), clearly-defined grill, bright color, two short perfs at leftFINE APPEARING UNUSED EXAMPLE OF THE 1868 3-CENT Z GRILL.
The 3c Z Grill was in production for only a short period of time before the device was replaced with the F Grill. Only a small number of 3c sheets were fed thru the Z Grill, which accounts for the rarity of surviving examples, especially in unused condition.

1c Blue, E. Grill (86). Vertical block of 18, far better centering than would be expected in a large multiple of this issue, deep shade, quartered cork cancels, bottom right stamp has a negligible wrinkle, a few minor separations at topFINE AND SOUND. THE LARGEST RECORDED USED MULTIPLE OF ANY OF THE 1868 ONE-CENT GRILLED ISSUES. A SPECTACULAR EXHIBITION PIECE.

15c Black, F. Grill, Very Thin Paper (98 var). Near perfect centering within extraordinarily wide margins, lightly cancelledEXTREMELY FINE GEM. A SUPERB USED EXAMPLE OF THE 1868 15-CENT F GRILL ON VERY THIN PAPER.
